Personal Safety, Situational Awareness and Workplace Violence Prevention
Have you ever had that feeling that something was not right? Maybe you were walking into a store, around the lake or maybe at work. We have all had that feeling. What was it?
Perhaps it was your "sixth sense" or your "intuition" warning you something was not right. On the other hand, how many times have we heard a victim of a crime say they "never saw it coming". The victim probably never did see whatever was coming. The question is, why? Was there absolutely no warning or was there? Was the victim paying attention to their surroundings, to suspicious behaviors, or was the victim distracted, focusing on the cell phone in hand?
Personal safety and situational awareness work hand in hand. The practical application of sound situational awareness skills enhances personal safety and that relationship naturally transcends to wherever we may be, at home, at school or at work . To that end, this workshop focuses on all three, personal safety, situational awareness and work place violence prevention.

The Guardian Within Workshop is an in-depth examination of human behavior such as body language and biometrics. The concepts are well founded and intended to strengthen our participants sense of awareness and their ability to recognize and respond to behaviors that may pose a threat. This skill set is applicable to our daily lives and personal interactions wherever we are, at home or at work, whatever setting we are in.

Our Speaker / INSTRUCTOR
Harry Katt has over thirty years of law enforcement experience and training. Over the course of his career he has developed a keen insight into personal safety, situational awareness and human behavior.
The vast majority of his police experience was in operational components policing neighborhoods where calls for service were frequent and customer service, personal safety and situational awareness skills were always a priority. It was there on the streets, the back alleys and the door steps where he learned the true value of observation, communication, de-escalation and knowing your options. The same core values he shares with his audience today.
